World of Warcraft Leveling Help and Gold Tips

Welcome Back for World of Warcraft Leveling Help and Gold Tips

Ok, we talked about doing some extra leg work by checking out neighboring World of Warcraft zones. Now how are we going to get there without spending too much time (wasting time is the enemy)? We are going to have to get a mount. Most newer players don't even think about a mount until much latter in the game. But think about this. The faster you can get around in World of Warcraft, the faster you will be able to level up, make more gold and get better item's. So don't put getting a good mount on the back burner. Plan ahead. Save gold so you can get a respectable mount at level 20 and then a better mount at level 40. Riding is much quicker than running. But in the mean time make sure you take advantage of the guards in World of Warcraft. They will give you directions to where you have to go and save you lots of time.

This section may seem like common sense but you will want to read it just the same. World of Warcraft is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game or MMORPG. Simply put, it's a game where your character will have to interact with other characters with in the World of Warcraft, both NPC's (Non Player Characters) and PC's (Player Characters(real people)). We already covered talking to NPC's for info on quest's. Now lets talk about playing World of Warcraft solo or as a group.

If you just want to have fun, you will probably want to play in a group. But if your goal is leveling up quickly, you will want to play mostly solo and only join a group when you have to complete a quest that is either very difficult or potentially very time consuming. If you feel that you could use some help for a while to get past a area, be selective of which other characters you team up with (when possible). For the most part you will want to team up with a mixed group of characters to cover all the bases. You'll want to have a healer, some strong magic and some good old melee muscle. For example, a Druid, Mage and Warrior. But not necessarily these classes exclusively (you get the idea).

Which character class you are playing will determine how often you will have to team up with a group as certain classes are better at soloing than others. Usually a Paladin does very well solo as well as a Rogue or Shaman but any class will have to team up here and there.

Gold: Lets talk about Gold! It's a fact that it takes a lot of gold and a steady supply of it to play World of Warcraft. Here are some tip's on getting the gold you will need.

Unfortunately at the very beginning there is no easy way to get gold that I know of. But once you fight your way to level 14 or so, look for a windmill just outside of Westfall on the gold coast. At this windmill there is a seemingly endless amount of defias mobs. Once you are at least level 14 or so they are pretty easy to kill and they just keep on coming. You will be able to get ton's of stuff to sell and you can do it over and over again.

A second gold getting technique is mining for Dark Iron. You can usually get 2-3 gold pieces for each piece of Dark Iron ore. The Blackrock Depths is a great place to mine for Dark Iron. You will have to get the Shadowforge key or be able to pick lock's to get in so I suggest doing this with a group. Simply mine the Dark Iron in the Dark Iron Highway then leave and reset the instance so you can come back and do it again. You can mine up to about 40 ore per hour. If you get 3 gold per ore that's' 120 gold per hour. Not to shabby.

I hope you have found this information helpful and will use it to make World of Warcraft more enjoyable to play. Have a great day and happy gaming. Paul J. Burkhardt
