I've been leveling my monk lately, and let me tell you ... one of the best classes to level. The ability where I instant kill an enemy every 90 seconds (if the mob has equal or less HP then me) is amazing. It really adds a new dynamic when taking on multiple groups of mobs; namely that there is no dynamic. BAM. Head shot.
And then the daily you get to do to get the 50% XP buff adds just a whole 'nother level of awesome. The levels just fly by, and with all the heirlooms you feel quite over powered. So much fun.

Not sure if this been asked before, but does anyone think we'll get playable Hozen and Jinyu later on this expansion, and Blizz just needed us to meet them first so people would be interested in playing them later?
Nah, not really a good chance. I think those races are neat, but there's not nearly as much depth in their story as some other already established races, and Blizzard really doesn't make NPC races playable in expansions. Out of all the non-classic races (Draenei, Blood Elves, Worgen, Goblins, Pandaren), only the Goblins were really established before their playability. The Worgen had a little bit, but there wasn't anything major.

I have a friend who switched to druid for the expac, resto/balance. He's been complaining ever since he hit 90 that balance is a terrible spec and he can't do anything, to the point where it's faster to do his dailies in resto. Is this a player problem or a spec problem, and if it's a player problem, what are some resources I can suggest for him? He's normally pretty good at looking things up and optimization, is the confusing part.
I agreed with both Xvbkarbear and Pyro in the comments. On one hand all specs seem to have lower DPS right away at 90, and that's not his fault. On the other than, it's a player problem -- sometimes good players can miss things in their class changes that set them back. This is especially true for players that have been engaged in their class for years and are set in their ways. Maybe he's not using a spell correctly (or not at all), and maybe he's ignoring procs or something like that. Either way, he needs to spend some time looking over his rotation and taking a hard look at what he's doing.

I'm trying to get my gear a little better before I do Heroics. Is there a way to get JP besides doing Heroics?
Heroics are not the same as they used to be. As long as you have the right iLevel on your gear and can execute your spec's rotation, then you're going to be fine in heroics. I had to buy a couple pieces of PvP gear off the AH for my warlock to get his iLevel up, and I was just fine (and right in the middle of the DPS meters) when I set foot in my first heroic.
