War of Warcraft - Economy in a Digital World

Many people do not realize the war of Warcraft that is constantly on going. This is not a battle between the Horde and the Alliance, although there is always conflict between the rival realms. The war of Warcraft actually goes on between players. It is a competition of wealth and currency. People who have never played a massively multiplayer online role playing game may not realize that these digital worlds actually sustain an economy much like many real life countries do.

What is the War of Warcraft?

Funds make life easier both in the real world and the digital one. You can afford better items, from consumables to permanent armor pieces. The war of Warcraft occurs among the players who constantly strive to obtain more wealth to afford more items and conveniences. Some are even willing to pay a hefty price to make their character look good. Why? In actual role playing, dressing up your character can add realism to the role play. In other cases, it could stem from a need to be the best on the battlefield. Either way, there is a war of Warcraft going on among the player's bank accounts.

A Functioning Warcraft Economy

Since so many people play Warcraft, there are many contributing to the economic system in the game. The monetary war of Warcraft starts at the auction house. Supply and demand is a big factor here. The auction house can indicate which professions do best. Check out how much higher skill level, player crafted items are selling for. Remember to get a well rounded idea and do not look to the most expensively priced item. Instead look at how many of the same item are available and what the average price is listed at.

To get the most out of the auction house, try to price your items around the average. Set them too high, and you won't get any takers. Set them too low and you might be taking profit out of your pocket. Finding a good medium here is vital to getting ahead in the financial war of Warcraft.

That being said, it doesn't hurt to be competitive. Price items just a little less than the lower end auctions are currently set. You might not make as high a profit, but you will be more likely to sell the item and sell it fast. When buyers search for it, they will be enticed by your auctions first, with the most attractive price!

Working for your Gold

There is no guaranteed easy way to get rich in the war of Warcraft economy. You must be ready to start farming for items, whether through hunting or profession leveling. Once you start accumulating resources and gold, you can reinvest them to create more items that will sell for even higher prices. Professions are a great way to get ahead in the financial war of Warcraft. A little bit of farming is a great way to get started. You can gain experience and profession levels easily, all while beefing up your bank account!
