Making gold in World of Warcraft is easy if you have a strategy. The better the strategy, the more gold you will be making. In this article I have put together 7 quick tips that can form a simple but effective strategy for making gold in World of Warcraft. Here they are:

TIP 1: ESTABLISH A GOAL
How much gold are you looking for? 5000 gold for an epic flying mount? Maybe just a regular flying mount? Just some cash for late-game equipment? Decide how much gold you want to make and play accordingly. Tape it to your monitor if you have to. Starting out with an attainable goal is key to accomplishing anything in life, not just making gold in World of Warcraft.
TIP 2: GRIND AND QUEST
This is a key part of the game, not just for making gold. Questing and grinding will yield good drops and rewards that you can sell for gold. Also, you can get good equipment doing this so that you do not have to spend your gold.
TIP 3: TWO GATHERING PROFESSIONS
Crafting professions are a huge money sink. You will spend money buying materials and recipes, and the materials you farm will go toward leveling your profession instead of making you money. With one profession, take herbalism or mining, and have your tracker on at all times when you are out grinding and questing. For the other profession, take skinning. You can skin corpses out in the field that other players kill and you can skin your own. Of any of my World of Warcraft gold making tips, this is probably the simplest and most profitable
TIP 4: FISH
For your third profession, fish once in a while. Some stacks of fish can net a lot of money on the Auction House. If you are waiting for a group to enter an instance, waiting to PvP, or just bored with questing, fish for a profitable way to kill time.
TIP 5: SELL YOUR STUFF AT THE AUCTION HOUSE
Always look to sell drops at the Auction House. Always sell your gathered leathers, herbs, or metals here as well. You will get more money than vendors almost every time. Check out the prices that other similar items are going for, so that you know how to price your item. You should also always use a buy-it-now price.
TIP 6: BUY LOW, SELL HIGH-
TIP 7: DROPS, NOT PURCHASES
Try to rely on drops from mobs for your gear. The reason is, if you are constantly spending money at the Auction House trying to get better gear, it will take you that much longer to achieve whatever goal you have set for yourself.
